Review - Braemore Deluxe Residences 20/2 Great King Street Edinburgh, Scotland

One the back end of the Scotland trip we stayed in an apartment.

Located in the New Town section of Edinburgh this wonderfully cosy residence is located in a row of Georgian town homes.

Let me just tell you how posh I felt as our cab drove down Great King Street and stopped at the front of the building. I somehow felt like Elizabeth Bennett the first time she saw Pemberly. The rental agent was there to greet us like we were Darcy and Elizabeth. She waved to us and shouted, " I've just put the kettle on!" I about died. Oh and she left us a bottle of wine, a packet of crisps and some shortbread. Heaven.

The apartment itself is divine. Within walking distance of most of the major sites of Edinburgh if not a short cab ride. There were two little markets on the corner of our street we could pop to for groceries. Pubs and restaurants were just a few blocks away.

Renting an apartment is the way to go. The comfort of home - just not your home. You can decide if you want to cook, get takeway or go out.

It was a lovely experience.

Great King Street and the building of the flat.

I love this lamp in the sitting room.

The kitchen had an oven, microwave, large fridge and clothes washer.

The grand sitting room (the cool lamp is on the left).

Fab bedroom!

Bathroom is small but functional and nice.
